Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc Lambda Mu Nu Chapter Scholarship
The Uplift Foundation, Inc Scholarship Application is available in the guidance office. Complete application deadline along with supporting documentation must be postmarked no later than April 3, 2026. No late materials will be accepted.

2026 CSM Long Scholarship for SSHS Graduating Seniors
CSM Long Scholarship criteria :Graduating Senior, cumulative unweighted GPA 2.8-3.69 at graduation, Deadline for all materials is July 7, 2026. leadership or school related extracurricular activity involvement required, minimum of 25 community service hours with veterans organization/business or youth that is not a family member, Proof of college acceptance and an essay is required. Application packets may be picked up in the guidance office.

Lee County Education Retirees Association Scholarship 2026
The Lee County Retirees Association is now taking applications for consideration for scholarship. The student must be a graduating senior with at least a B average, & enrolling in a post high school education program by Fall of 2026. Applications available in the guidance office. Kids' Chance Scholarship 2026
Kids' Chance is a scholarship that may be available to students who have a parent who was permanently and totally disabled or killed in an on the job accident. Applications are available online and closes June 2, 2026. Visit www.alabamalawfoundation.org

Kinetic Credit Union Ronald J. Mahoney Scholarship
Each year, Kinetic Credit Union presents the Ronald J. Mahoney Kinetic Scholarship to two deserving high school seniors. This scholarship honors former board member Ronald J. Mahoney, who dedicated a part of his life to serve the needs of Kinetic Credit Union. Mr. Mahoney was committed to excellence and service, as demonstrated by his dedication to our credit union and community projects. Brother Box Scholarship 2026
Brother Box is a non-profit organization that creates supplemental education programs to help Black boys feel seen, heard, and supported during the critical stages of their journeys to adulthood, motivating them to see the best in themselves and strive for a future they can be proud of. In doing so, we help them gain a greater sense of self and the values they care about — critical factors for completing their education, bringing their dreams to life, and positively impacting their communities. Since 2018 we've impacted more than 6,000 lives across the country, and in the past five years we've awarded more than $95,000 in college scholarships. This year, Brother Box is excited to award four, $1,500 one-time college scholarships to young Black men graduating in the state of Alabama. Applications are due by March 31, 2026. EAMC Auxiliary Scholarship 2026
Each year the Auxiliary at EAMC awards three scholarships to encourage a worthy high school student who plans to enter the healthcare field. The scholarships are open to any High School Senior who attends a High School located in Lee County. The Three Scholarships are the following: 1. Johann Kucik Scholarship - $1000 2. Ida Mae Armistead Scholarship - $2,000 3. General Auxiliary Scholarship - $2,000. All scholarship applicants must be from a High School located in Lee County, participated in the HOSA Program or have participated in the healthcare classes during their High School career and are planning on entering the healthcare field. Student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Application Deadline March 20,2026 . Applications available in the Guidance Office.

Buckets of Smiles Scholarship 2026
This scholarship is to be awarded to a childhood cancer survivor who is a senior at a high school in the state of Alabama and will be attending a college or university. Scholarship deadline is April 1, 2026. Applications available in the Guidance Office.

2026 Smiths Station Ruritan Club Book Scholarship
It is that time of year again for the Ruritan Club to honor graduating Seniors with Book Scholarships. Last year nine SSHS Seniors received the Scholarships and we hope 2026 will be as successful. The deadline for submission is April 3. Applications Available in the Guidance Office!

100 Black Men Greater Auburn/Opelika Chapter 2026 Scholarship
100 Black Men of Greater Auburn/Opelika Chapter is committed to the growth and development of the youth in our community. In addition to engaging in mentoring, education, health & wellness, economic empowerment and leadership programs, we feel it is important to aid in developing talented young americans in pursuit of higher education. Through gifts, donations, sponsorships and fundraisers, the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Greater Auburn/Opelika Chapter is able to provide scholarships to local high school students on an equal opportunity basis. Applications available in the Guidance Office. Kappa Alpha Sigma Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Carita Glaze Educational Memorial Scholarship
Kappa Alpha Sigma Scholarship is a $500 scholarship available for high school Seniors to apply for who is enrolling as an Education Major to become a Teacher. Our Soror, Carita Glaze was an educator who loved children and education. This scholarship was created to honor her. Applications available in the Guidance Office. Application deadline is April 30, 2026.

Ruby Thomas "Be Finer" $1000 Scholarship Application
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance and encouragement to graduating high school seniors affected by cancer who plan to continue their education or vocational training. The award reflects Ruby Reed Thomas’ belief in education as a pathway to service, leadership, and meaningful impact. Ruby Reed Thomas was an educator by calling and a mentor by nature. She dedicated her life to serving students, modeling leadership, and inspiring others through education, faith, and service. Even while courageously battling Stage 3 breast cancer, Ruby continued to put others first and encouraged those around her to live with purpose, strength, and compassion. Recipients of the Ruby Thomas “Be Finer” Scholarship are expected to pursue their educational goals with determination and to embody the values of service, leadership, integrity, and personal excellence. This scholarship honors Ruby Reed Thomas by continuing what she loved most—uplifting others and inspiring future generations to always strive to “Be Finer". This Scholarship was established to honor the life, legacy, and values of Mrs. Ruby Reed Thomas—an educator, mentor, and lifelong advocate for service, leadership, and personal excellence. This scholarship supports students whose lives have been impacted by cancer and who demonstrate resilience, compassion, integrity, and a commitment to becoming their best selves. Eligibility Requirements--Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: Be a graduating high school senior Have been affected by cancer in their personal life or be a cancer survivor Plan to enroll in postsecondary education or vocational training after high school Earn a minimum 2.75 GPA in grades 9-12 Demonstrate kindness, compassion, integrity, and courage Show a commitment to personal growth, giving service to others, and a statement on their resilience in overcoming challenges.
